After releasing two highly-anticipated standup specials on Netflix, revered comedian Dave Chappelle shows no signs of slowing down. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Chappelle is joining the cast of A Star Is Born, alongside Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga.
The Warner Bros.’ remake will focus on a movie star who sets out on a mission to help an aspiring young actress find fame all while age and alcoholism sends his own career plummeting.
Chappelle will be reprising the role of Noodle, a longtime friend of Cooper’s character, Jackson Maine, in the Warner Bros.’ remake.
This will be Chappelle’s foray back into film after Spike Lee’s2015 musical drama Chi-Raq. A Star Is Born is slated for a Sept. 28, 2018, release.
